Walk In My Shoes- True Stories from Chattanooga's Homeless and Non-Homeless Citizens

"Walk In My Shoes" is an evening of true stories from Chattanooga’s homeless and non-homeless citizens. This event is made possible by The Salvation Army 614 Corps and a Community Cultural Connections Grant received from ArtsBuild of Chattanooga.

Stories were collected from people who are currently homeless, who have been homeless, and people who have never been homeless.

These shots were from a dance segment of one of the homeless stories.

Each performer will tell someone else’s story rather than their own. The concept is that someone who is homeless or who has been tells the story of someone who has never been homeless and vice versa. Therefore, all the performers are walking in someone else’s shoes. The hope is that this is the first of many performances using this concept.
